In recognition of TDCC's ongoing commitment to educational resources, six elementary schools in Hualien County joined hands to organize the TDCC × Hualien Elementary Schools Concert at the Hualien County Indigenous Museum on May 12. This concert marked the long-awaited return after a three-year hiatus caused by the pandemic. Teachers, parents, and students alike were eagerly anticipating this event with great enthusiasm.
At the opening of the event, the Bei-Chang Elementary School National Orchestra delivered a captivating performance of two pieces of music: 'North Ring' and 'Small Town'. The first piece, 'North Ring', beautifully captures the lofty educational spirit of Hualien and the diverse growth of its students. The second piece, 'Small Town', paints a portrait of the optimistic and down-to-earth nature of the people of Hualien.
Following that, the students from Ji-An Elementary School's Hot Dance Club, Electronic Jazz Drum Club, and String Orchestra graced the stage, showcasing their remarkable versatility. The Electric Jazz Drum Club enthralled the audience with a dynamic and spirited performance. The drummer's agile hands gracefully moved across the drum's surface, producing beats that reverberated like droplets creating ripples on a tranquil lake. Their flawless drumming skills and interpretation of electronic jazz captivated the spectators, revealing their deep passion for music.
"Let's hold hands, give our all to today, and bid farewell to yesterday~" The students from Xi-Kou Elementary School strummed their ukuleles and sang, evoking spontaneous applause and participation from the parents in the audience. Throughout the journey of growth, challenges may arise, but parents have consistently been steadfast pillars of support, offering strength and courage to their children. This enduring companionship and love represent the most precious gifts in each other's lives.
Tai-Chang Elementary School brought forth the high-energy sports dance performance titled "Unstoppable," featuring fundamental movements from basketball, volleyball, taekwondo, and other sports. The lively choreography and spirited music encapsulated the sportsmanship and unwavering commitment of the Tai-Chang sports team. The audience was deeply moved by the children's wholehearted dedication, relentless pursuit of excellence, and their consistent drive for self-improvement in every competition.
Jian-Ching Elementary School, where the majority of students are from the Taroko tribe, showcased their talent by presenting "Uuyas snaw mrmun" on stage, accompanied by their hunting flutes and traditional wooden xylophones. Principal Gao's solo, rooted in ancestral teachings, marked the commencement of the performance, followed by the collective play of the young warriors. Each melody resonated with spirituality and strength, as Taroko warriors, both young and old, adeptly conveyed profound emotions through their breath and nimble fingers. The audience was completely engrossed in the immersive and expansive realm of aboriginal culture.
The students of Chung-Hwa Elementary School confidently showcased the art of flamenco with elegance and precision. Despite their tender age, they displayed remarkable maturity, proficiency, coordination, and flexibility. Their performance transcended mere technical skill, as their passionate eyes and body language conveyed profound emotions and unwavering determination.
