Judy Shu-Lun Wu Assistant Manager Digital Development & Information Security Department

TDCC established its Digital Development and Information Security Department on March 13 2023. Under the guideline of “TDCC 4.0 - Digital and Information Security” development phase, and trending with digital transformation in the financial market, the role of the Digital Development and Information Security Department is increasingly essential for TDCC to transform to a Digital Financial Market Infrastructure (DFMI). Over the past year, the department has been dedicated to nurturing digital talents, integrating diverse data applications, and enhancing information security resilience, which lay a solid foundation for digital development.

Implementing digital skill training plan for innovative applications

In compliance with the Financial Supervisory Commission’s “Financial Technology Development Roadmap 2.0”, we promote training of digital awareness, digital capabilities, and digital creativity to strengthen employees’ creativity, problem-solving skills, adaptability, leadership, and data ethics in the digital workplace, enhancing employees’ digital abilities and adaptation.

Integrating diverse data applications to establish a multi-functional data platform

To support financial supervision and capital market development, the Digital Development and Information Security Department has continued integrating business data and developing new types of interactive and visualized services for Taiwan securities market. The aim is to accelerate the accessibility of financial services and inspire more openness and innovation. Moreover, the department will continue promoting data application to explore valuable insights to implement our inclusive finance vision.

Enhancing information security resilience to safeguard a safer digital environment

The rapid digital development brings complex risks and increasingly more information security challenges. Since its inception, the Digital Development and Information Security Department has focused on information security resilience as its primary mission, continually enhancing information security capabilities to ensure sound market operations in the ever-changing digital era.

Providing more efficient services and facilitating international exchanges are our goals and main challenges under the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) trend

Digital Development and Information Security Department will recruit more excellent members this year and will focus on greater adoption of digital technologies, more data applications, and safer information security to enhance our committed services.

Looking ahead, there are two major tasks. First, we will emphasize how to promote further safety, soundness and efficiency for the market under the trend of Decentralized Finance (DeFi). Second, we will deepen exchanges and collaborations with foreign organizations and adopt best international practices to align with global standards to expand international participation and visibility.
