TDCC has been actively promoting communication and cooperation with CSDs worldwide. On Dec. 4, 2016, Chairman & CEO Mr. Sherman Lin led the visit group to Tehran, Iran for the 20th Asia-Pacific CSD Group General Meeting, ACG20. This year, the institute held the triennial election for executive committee members, and with all memebers’ support as well as the highest votes, TDCC was elected as one of the three ACG executive committee members. In the meantime, in response to the invitation of CSDI, TDCC entered into the cooperation and information exchange MOU with CSDI for wider sharing of TDCC’s business experiences.

As Chairman & CEO Mr. Sherman Lin indicated, TDCC had been developing its business diversification for the past few years. On its core business side, the company had closely catered for securities and futures market development; on its innovation side, Stockvote, cross-border custodian and settlement services, and re-investment in FundRich, the online mutual fund platform, all constituted solid achievements of the company. Also, considering international business promotion one of the major focuses, TDCC hence established mutual funds and international services department to integrate all resources for international exchange and communication. The ACG executive committee member election served as the crucial platform to consolidate the exchange among Asia-Pacific CSDs. What’s worth mentioning was that the ACG 19 held by TDCC not only presented the soft power of Taiwan’s system innovation and international image but also received high compliments from member institutes. ACG 19 has become the benchmark that brings unprecedented results. The high votes for the executive committee member election signified the wide recognition given by the ACG institutes of TDCC’s contribution.

Chairman & CEO Mr. Sherman Lin further stated that in response to government’s capital market internationalization and the new southward policy, TDCC had conducted close communication with CSDs from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, and India. The communication involved developments such as Stockvote, cross-border custodian and settlement services, mutual funds business and information security. Through signing the cooperation MOU with CSDI, TDCC expected to promote and expand communication on business operation, personnel training, information exchange and transnational business among more CSDs to share experiences, cooperate for common interests, and facilitate development of each side’s capital market.

The MOU with CSDI was concluded by TDCC’s Chairman & CEO Mr. Sherman Lin and CSDI’s CEO Dr. Mohammad Reza Mohseni. Mr. Hanif, Chairman of ACG, together with chief executives of CSDs in Japan, India, Vietnam, Mongolia, attended the signing ceremony. CSDI is the 23rd international CSD that entered into MOU with TDCC. During the ceremony, CSDI CEO Dr. Mohseni emphasized that through this MOU, CSDI would like to conduct more extensive research, discussion and communication with TDCC on businesses such as transnational listing and cross-border transaction.
