The III has been promoting the TPIPAS since 2010, and over the past ten years, the system has been adopted by businesses from various sectors, including e-commerce, information service, biotech, supplementary education, TV shopping and financial. Companies that have passed the certification are conferred a dp.mark, indicating they provide solid protection of personal information. TDCC passed the certification in 2013, and is the first securities and futures company (within the non-e-commerce sector) that introduced the TPIPAS.

Over the years, TDCC has continued fulfilling the requirements of the TPIPAS by introducing multiple information protection technology and mechanisms, such as a dedicated control server, network-based information leakage prevention system and personal information mask system to help enhance information security at system, network and user levels. A third party professional institution is also involved to ensure the protection systems and the levels of security are up to the task.

Winning the award of Company with Excellent Personal Information Protection demonstrates TDCC’s commitment to facilitating safe operations of the market and protecting investors’ rights. Going forward, TDCC will continue to strengthen staff training on personal information protection and upgrade the required hardware and software to build a post-trade environment that is safe, trustworthy and internationally compatible.
