2014/11/12
The Science & Technology Law Institute (STLI) of the Institute for Information Industry conducted a mid-term audit of TDCC during the period October 15 to 16, 2014, on the Taiwan Personal Information Protection and Administration System (TPIPAS). The audit went smoothly and no irregularities were identified. TDCC received high commendation from the STLI auditors for efforts made by all TDCC employees in fulfilling corporate governance policies, procedures and documentation requirements, as well as their conscientious attitude in handling personal data collection, processing and utilization.
TDCC Chairman Ding Kung-Wha emphasized that TDCC is responsible for the custody and clearing of securities in the capital market, and is entrusted by securities companies, issuers and custodian banks to process customer transactions. The company, therefore, has to manage a tremendous amount of financial information, including transaction data and account balances of investors. TDCC has been making great efforts in safeguarding the personal information of investors, considering that this is a fundamental responsibility of a back office service provider in Taiwan's capital markets.
