Recently, there are websites using Chinese and English names similar to Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation’s (TDCC), and there are trademarks similar to TDCC’s. They spread information on acting as a proxy to take gifts for shareholders. They help take, store, and trade gifts from shareholders’ meetings, and they charge for such services.

All services and businesses of TDCC shall be authorized by the competent authority. There are no such profit-making activities regarding shareholders’ meeting gifts. TDCC also has no subsidiaries or has never authorized any party to conduct such activities in the name of TDCC. Thus, those who conduct such activities have nothing to do with TDCC.

TDCC is gathering information concerning the aforementioned activities. Should any infringement of TDCC’s trademark or reputation occur, TDCC shall take legal action. They shall not be forgiven and shall be seen as warning cases. Investors should be careful with confusing activities and protect their rights.
