TDCC Once Again Awarded 2019 CommonWealth Magazine's CSR Award

TDCC has once again won the 2019 CSR Mittelstand Group Award of CommonWealth Magazine's CSR Award. This glory manifests the company's long-term involvement in social charities, promotion of financial knowledge and environmental protection as well as execution of corporate social responsibilities. The recognition of TDCC from professional critics has indeed built an outstanding model for society.
CommonWealth CSR Award is one of the most representative CSR awards in Taiwan, combining benchmarks including “environmental sustainability,” “social participation,” “corporate governance,” and “corporate commitment.” For election of best corporate citizenship of Taiwan, 100 leading corporations are selected in the final election.
In terms of environmental protection, TDCC has deeply explored digital financial services, promoted low-carbon and high efficiency green operation. Through comprehensive dematerialized issuance of stocks, book entry, automation connection to issuers, TDCC ePASSBOOK, electronic inquiry hotline into government agencies, dematerialized issuance of commercial paper. These services have reduced impact on the environment from commercial activities.
As for social care, TDCC has long been promoting rural education, caring for minority groups, as well as sponsoring education guidance, talent programs, and sports teams of elementary and high schools. In addition, TDCC has also paid close attention to local art and literary development, holding “Brainstorming, Contemporary Art Award,” and supporting young artists with concrete action.
In corporate governance, TDCC states that this year the company will compile CSR report in compliance with GRI Standards and establish Ethical Corporate Management Best Practice Principles for Directors and Supervisors to honor the promise of corporate integrity and transparency. In 2018, e-voting was implemented in all the shareholder meetings of listed companies, which showed the accomplishment of shareholder activism. In addition, pursuant to government policy, the company has set up “Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Inquiry System,” and “Corporate Responsible Persons and Major Shareholders Information Declaration Platform” to improve transparency of corporate information.
As the second CSR Award coincides with the 30th anniversary of TDCC, the company will continue to carry out corporate social responsibilities and perfect the capital market with people from all walks of life.
