TDCC, the promoter of the digital transformation of Taiwan’s capital market, has been thoroughly fulfilling its corporate social responsibility through the company’s core business capacities. The company has been supporting the development of a variety of art forms and has therefore organized “The 2nd TDCC Contemporary Arts Award” for entries. As TDCC, the major organizer points out, the theme of the art awards this time is “From Creative Expression to Boundless Imagination”. Not only will the winners receive a high prize and a certificate of merit, but the winning pieces will also be on display in public. The first prize reaches as high as NTD 300,000, and the total amount is NTD 1,000,000. Through the awards, the company expects to raise the awareness of artistic creation, so it welcomes the active participation of all young artists.

As Goethe says, “Art is long, life is short.” In a broad sense, art originally meant all the knowledge, and later eight major genres were derived from it; this therefore gave a refined definition to all creative expertise. The theme for the 2nd TDCC Contemporary Arts Award is “ From Creative Expression to Boundless Imagination” symbolizing a wealth of presentation and discovery through artistic creation as well as the unlimited extension of imagination in this age of freedom.

According to Susan Huang, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Public Affairs Department of TDCC, the contemporary art awards aim to encourage the active participation of young artists through the unlimited interpretation of the theme. Combining support for artistic creation with corporate social responsibility, both parties can create the spirit and value that are sustainable and unlimited.

The 2nd TDCC Contemporary Arts Award, whose primary organizer is TDCC and co-organizer Taipei Culture Foundation, is executed by Taipei Artist Village. There is no limit to styles or mediums, and the entry starts from now on. All the submissions will go through a two-stage review from professional judges, and 11 winning pieces will be selected, with the total prize of NTD 1,000,000: gold prize: NTD 300,000 for one winner, silver prize: NTD 200,000 for one winner, bronze prize: NTD 100,000 for one winner, quality award: NTD 50,000 for eight winners each. All the winning pieces will be exhibited at Taipei Artist Village.
