TDCC's Successful ESG Initiatives Recognized with Dual Honors at TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards
On November 15, the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy hosted the 2023 TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards ceremony. TDCC was honored with both the Corporate Sustainability Report Award and the Innovative Growth Leadership Award. Senior Executive Vice President, Kuang-Hui Chen, represented the company and accepted the awards.
In its commitment to advancing various aspects of ESG, TDCC has established a Sustainable Development Committee under the board, with Chairman Bing-Huei Lin serving as the convener. Directors and supervisors are appointed as committee members, and six working groups, including corporate governance, innovative finance, responsible finance, environmental sustainability, social engagement, and employee care, have been formed to implement the ESG policies outlined by the Sustainable Development Committee. The top-down approach is a collaborative effort to promote and achieve sustainability goals.
Kuang-Hui Chen emphasized that TDCC leverages its core financial capabilities to drive sustainable development, maintaining open communication with stakeholders. Since 2017, the company voluntarily publishes an "Corporate Social Responsibility Report," which was upgraded to a "ESG Report" in 2020, progressively improving each year. The TDCC ESG Report follows GRI guidelines, adheres to SASB standards for disclosure, and strengthens disclosures related to Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Independently verified by a third party, TDCC consistently discloses specific actions and performance related to ESG at the highest standards, earning recognition from reviewers for multiple consecutive years.
This marks the third consecutive year that TDCC has received the "Innovative Growth Leadership Award," with the awarded ePassbook App epitomizing the market trends towards digital, counter-free services. The app realizes the convenience of integrated funds and securities, electronic notification of dividend distributions, and contributes to the market's goal for net-zero emissions. It presents TDCC's achievements in promoting digital innovation.
Looking forward, TDCC aims to promote more ESG services, build sustainable financial infrastructure, embody corporate care principles, fulfill social responsibilities, and actively construct itself as an ESG model enterprise.
