TDCC supports grassroots baseball and extends an invitation to the Penghu Jiangmei Baseball Team for a taste of professional baseball

This year, Taiwan's passion for professional baseball has surged, with a remarkable 15% increase in audience numbers. Yet, at the heart of baseball's growth lies its grassroots development.
To bolster this movement, TDCC orchestrated a "National Support Baseball Charity Event" on May 25th at Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium. The event welcomed the Penghu County Youth League Baseball Team to rub shoulders with professional players from Rakuten Monkeys and witness a thrilling Professional Baseball game. With the event themed "People Support Baseball and Charity Together," TDCC aimed to advocate its anti-fraud and charity principles while also sponsoring grassroots baseball training funds in Penghu.
Penghu County Magistrate Kuang-Fu Chen lauded the efforts, noting the remarkable journey of a small school like Jiangmei boasting just 29 students forming a formidable Little League team comprising 19 players. Their consistent triumphs in nationwide competitions have earned them the moniker of a "Little League legend." Gratitude was extended to TDCC for their sponsorship of grassroots sports in Penghu. On game day, Rakuten's gesture of inviting Jiangmei young pitcher Ting-Hsiang Wang and coach Feng-Shin Li to open the game, symbolized the cherished passing on of Taiwanese baseball legacy through generations.
Kuang-Hui Chen, TDCC Senior Executive Vice President, acknowledged the challenges posed by declining birth rates in recruiting grassroots baseball teams. He expressed hope in nurturing talents and fostering exchanges across various levels of baseball, from grassroots to professional, to ignite a sustainable baseball frenzy.
Beyond baseball, TDCC upholds the Financial Supervisory Commission's financial public welfare policy and deeply roots itself in grassroots sports. Its concern for rural education development is evident through its sponsorship of diverse sports like archery, badminton, football, and roller racing. Leveraging its industry resources, TDCC implements initiatives like "Financial Smart Education Promotion" and "One School, One Care" to enhance learning environments and enrich the quality of education for rural children, fully embracing the vision of inclusive finance.
