The launching ceremony of TDCC’s ePassbook APP took place on May 9th 2017. Since its commencement in March, the accumulated number of downloaded users has reached over 60,000. This number successfully marks a great milestone of guiding the investors leap into the ever-changing innovative stock market.

Mr. Sherman Lin, Chairman & CEO of TDCC, states that not only did the ePassbookAPP services implement the Fintech, an accordance to the digitized market trend and an ultimate goal from the authority, but established a direct digital channel between brokers and investors, a significant change form the indirect accesses of the older days. It is believed that more comprehensive, instantaneous and diversified services are in sight.

Compared to the conventional paper bankbook, the ePassbook APP provides an approach to the inventory management with more flexibility. The investors now can easily obtain related stock information with great mobility; it saves the trip for them to go to a physical location doing the same tasks. Meanwhile, multiple accounts can be administered in a single device so that investors are able to have a clear understanding of their various accounts at different brokers. Furthermore, for those transactions needed to be done in person at the counter, investors simply provide the digital codes stored in their devices for identification and authentication; in other words, it’s no longer needed to carry a paper bankbook (bankbooks), hence the elevated convenience and security.

Mr. Sherman Lin further commented that TDCC is acquiring all feedbacks and inputs, and is continuing strengthening the ePassbook APP. In addition to all the existing functionalities of a paper bankbook, personalized messaging, stock help, all the other ePassbook APP services are being tested in their final stages: registration notification, shareholder meeting notification, public acquisition, final result of the lottery draws, etc. At the same time, the eStockVote APP from TDCC is also being embedded into ePassbook; in the short future, investors can fully exercise all their shareholders’ rights without worrying missing any important event. With the ePassbook APP from TDCC now officially online, we are excitedly witnessing Taiwan Stock Market advances to a new era.
