DongGang Takes Home the Championship at the Taiwan Junior Soccer Tournament

Hosted by TDCC, the 3rd Annual Taiwan Junior Soccer Tournament 2017 festively took place at DongGang Senior High in PingTung County on August 25 and 26.
TDCC, TWSE(Taiwan Stock Exchange), Taiwan Futures Exchange(TAIFEX), and Pou Chen Group have sponsored the soccer teams of DongGang High School (Junior Division), LaiYi High School(Junior Division), MaJia Junior High school and ChenJhih Junior High School since 2015, respectively. The ultimate goal is to promote athletic activities in the remote rural regions of Taiwan in hopes that the younger generations can enjoy the opportunities of being sophisticatedly trained as the youth in the urban sectors. With the infusion of funds and other resources, youngsters can now cultivate their self confidence and learn about self disciplines with the practice of soccer while acquire the techniques of teamwork.
Mr. Meng, Ching-Li, President of TDCC, stated that the powerfulness of a country can be observed from how well the athletics do in the various competitions. In addition to their hard work, the coaching teams, and the aids from the society also play an important role, so that the youth from the remote rural areas can fulfill their dreams. Mr. Meng further encouraged the young participants to work well on field with their teammates and off field with their peers, to make the best out of each and every learning opportunity to grow, so that the communities, or even the entire nation, can be really proud of them.
After two-day competitive games, DongGang High School (junior division) took home the championship at the 3rd annual Taiwan Junior Soccer Tournament with LaiYi High School (junior division) as the runner up. TWSE will be hosting the tournament next year.
