With the project “Innovative Application of STOCKVOTE and Cross-border STP Voting Services,” TDCC won the Award of Distinction in “Open Digital Government Award” of the DTA Award, and has been nominated for 2019’s eAsia Award. This achievement shows that TDCC has received recognition and praise for its digital soft power , and the innovative digital service for Taiwan’s securities market has become a brilliant figure in Asian Pacific market.

To protect shareholders’ rights and help improve corporate governance, TDCC constructed STOCKVOTE, the electronic voting platform, in 2009; then in 2018 the company reached the milestone of the comprehensive use of STOCKVOTE in all listed companies. There were a total of 1,734 companies adopting STOCKVOTE, and shares voted via STOCKVOTE reached 50.86% of shares present at annual general meeting. Since 2015, TDCC has also provided international investors with STP services that facilitate the exercise of voting rights in shareholders’ meetings. Implementing STP not only complies with ACGA’s advice on increasing international stockholders’ voting efficiency but also takes a big stride forward on international cooperation of post-trade service in Taiwan capital market.

The winning of DTA Award attest to TDCC’s devotion to provide shareholders with more efficient, secure, and diversified voting services through Fintech application over recent years. In the future, STOCKVOTE will add international-voting consulting platform to expand services for foreign investors. TDCC will also mobilize Fintech and big data application to provide institutional investors with value-added services such as statistical analysis of stewardship and corporate governance.
