TDCC Brainstorming Contemporary Arts Award with a Top Prize of NT$300,000 Welcomes Submissions

To nurture artists of the younger generation and enhance Taiwan’s level of artistic creation, 2018 TDCC Brainstorming Contemporary Arts Award is organized. The art competition welcomes submissions from all over Taiwan! Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC), the organizer, stated that this event aimed to boost art and creation trends among students in relevant department at colleges or universities. Winners can not only get a big scholarship and a certificate, but they can also have a chance to display their work in the new exhibition areas at TDCC office. The highest honor will get NT$300,000 and the prizes in total are up to NT$900,000. The Award welcomes college students at relevant departments to develop their artistic creativity and submit their art pieces!
TDCC Brainstorming Contemporary Arts Award is advised by TDCC and organized by the International Association of Art Critics (AICA). Then goal of the event is to keep track of social issues and artistic creation development. Meanwhile, the event encourages art students to create with diverse techniques. They can express their love and care for humanity and social development through artwork.
TDCC has dedicated to social welfare charity for quite a long time. Apart from improving its businesses, TDCC also echoes with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). TDCC also shoulders corporate social responsibility (CSR) by nurturing financial talents, facilitating education in rural areas, and caring for the underprivileged. This time, TDCC connects to art projects for charity and organizes TDCC Brainstorming Contemporary Arts Award, a national event that encourages students to create artwork and the public to appreciate aesthetics.
TDCC Brainstorming Contemporary Arts Award from now on starts to receive submissions. The event appreciates students’ creativity, so they can choose the themes, styles, media and materials on their own. 2D drawings (including oil paintings, acrylic color, watercolor, plastic color, Chinese ink, colorful ink, sketches, and print makings), composite media, sculpture, installation art, videos, photography, new media, etc. are all welcome. There will be a three-stage jury interview to choose ten winning pieces. One Masterpiece will be selected to received NT$300,000, one Special Jury Prize will be selected to receive NT$200,000, and eight Prize of Excellence will receive NT$50,000. The Expo opening ceremony and award ceremony will be held in the first half of November 2018.
