TDCC Offers Diverse and Fast Query System for Investors
2018/06/04
Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC) deals with the depository and book-entry transfers of securities and short-term bills in the domestic capital market. Thus, TDCC has complete information on investors’ deposited targets. In response to the needs of governmental agencies and investors, TDCC has provided search services in recent years, which received positive feedback. Investors’ investment targets have diversified, including equities, bonds, funds, gold, etc. If investors ask every securities firm or investment trust about their targets’ types or volume, it will be very time-consuming and inconvenient. Especially when a successor needs to know their deceased family’s investment information, oftentimes the successor doesn’t even know in which securities firms their deceased family had accounts. As a result, more and more people are searching for information via TDCC’s platform in recent years.
In consideration of efficiency and investors’ needs, TDCC has provided various ways to search, ensuring that the search process is fast and convenient, and that the information is complete. If an investor already knows the securities firms they are looking for, they can use online and speech-based services or TDCC APPs. If the investor doesn’t know the securities firms in question, they can file a written search application or use online search to seek an answer from TDCC directly. At the same time, investors can also receive integrated information which has been registered to be the same individual’s investment decisions or altered information during a specific period of time.
To keep up with the convenient digitization trends on the Internet, TDCC has completed the TDCC Investor Information Inquiry System at the end of 2017. As long as an investor owns one of the following certificates: citizen digital certificate, securities online order certificate, online bank certificate, securities and futures mutual certificate, or corporate certificate, they can link to the Investor Information Inquiry System (https://investor.tdcc.com.tw/QDSI/) and do the search regardless of the limit of time and space. Investors can also check the operation progress of their businesses.
Sherman Lin, TDCC Chairman & CEO, states that since Investor Information Inquiry System was launched in 2006, the number of people using it has grown incrementally every year. The growth shows that system meets investors’ needs and is helpful. The one-stop service of TDCC also receives recognition from governmental agencies and investors. Please go to the TDCC website (http://www.tdcc.com.tw) for more information on query procedure and content. Investor Information Inquiry System will always be there for investors.
