2023/10/06
In response to the Financial Supervisory Commission's (FSC) promotion of ESG sustainable finance development and the initiative by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) to enhance investor resilience, digital financial capabilities, and sustainable innovation, TDCC and securities peripheral institutions hosted a five-day event, the "World Investor Week (WIW) 2023," and organized the forum "Mobile Financial Management at Your Fingertips" on October 6. Over 800 participants attended both in-person and online, gaining a deeper understanding of TDCC's diversified innovations beyond traditional business.
Bing-Huei Lin, Chairman of TDCC, expressed that the company, in line with the international trends of ESG sustainability and financial technology development, is striving to enhance its services. Underpinning its development vision of "Innovation," "Resilience," "Sustainability," and "Financial Inclusion," the company is optimizing financial transaction processes, improving the investor experience, and simultaneously enhancing traditional core services and operational efficiency. This way, it is fulfilling its corporate value of "Digital Common Prosperity, Realizing Sustainability."
On the first day of the forum, TDCC President Te-Hsiang Chen, shared the company's practical experiences in "Enhancing Cybersecurity Protection and Strengthening Investor Protection," emphasizing the company's commitment to safeguarding investor assets and their protection.
The forum featured prominent financial writers, with Mr. Ji-Fu Lo giving a speech on "Managing Financial Matters with Ease and Confidence through Mobile Apps" and financial expert Ms. Yan-Li Lu discussing "Conducting Shareholder Meetings Conveniently at Home and Making Stock Affairs Easy." The engaging talks introduced investors to the convenience of using the “TDCC ePassbook” app and "Shareholder e-Services" to efficiently manage their financial and stock affairs. The audience interaction was enthusiastic and well-received.
TDCC, in collaboration with its subsidiary FundRich, focused on the theme of "Ensuring Children Grow Up Well and Planning for a Secure Retirement." They invited financial experts, Professor Yueh-Chung Chu and Director Zhi-Yuan Feng, to discuss retirement financial planning and educational fund planning for children, which are the most pressing concerns for investors. The aim is to guide people in starting to save for educational funds while their children are young and simultaneously planning for financial preparation for retirement, ensuring that family finances align with life goals.
The "World Investor Week 2023" was co-organized by ten entities, including the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Taipei Exchange, Taiwan Futures Exchange, Taiwan Depository and Clearing Corporation, Securities Investment Trust Consulting Association, Financial Planning Association of Taiwan, Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance, Pension Fund Association, CFA Society Taiwan, and Taiwan CCIM Association. The event featured a series of enriching and exciting forums and concluded successfully.
