ACG 25th Annual Meeting - TDCC Chairman Bing-Huei Lin's Proactive Engagements Bear Fruit

The 25th Asia-Pacific Central Securities Depository Group (ACG) Annual Meeting took place in Vietnam from October 17th to 20th this year. Led by TDCC Chairman Bing-Huei Lin, the TDCC group actively engaged with top executives and representatives of various depository institutions from multiple countries, sharing the latest developments in Taiwan's capital market back-office industry. The discussions encompassed global trends in sustainability, resilience, and digital development, aimed at enhancing the visibility of Taiwan's capital market, deepening collaborations with foreign depository institutions, and yielding fruitful outcomes.

This year's annual meeting revolved around the theme "CSDs' Initiatives in Line with Global Investment Trends," bringing together about 150 executives and representatives from approximately 40 institutions, including ACG member institutions, World Forum of CSDs (WFC), global custodian banks, and related entities. Collectively, they focused on mainstream trends of international markets and explored measures for depository institutions to adapt to the rapidly changing market environment.

During the meeting, Bing-Huei Lin engaged in bilateral meetings and exchanges with the Chairman of the World Forum of CSDs (WFC), the ACG Chairman, as well as depository leaders from countries including Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam. These interactions was on current industry conditions and innovative business development trends in their respective nations. Chairman Lin emphasized that through sharing experiences, personnel visits, and training, TDCC will maintain close channels of contact and collaboration with depository institutions worldwide, collectively envisioning the macro-development prospects of depository industries.

TDCC was also invited to participate as a speaker in a panel discussion during the annual meeting titled "Recognition of Global Investment Trends and CSDs’ Expected Business Transformation." In this context, TDCC shared observations on international ESG trends and its leading role in driving a successful ESG IR platform service globally. Furthermore, as the Convener of the ACG Investor Services Task Force, TDCC hosted the ISTF group meeting, engaging in deep exchanges and discussions with institutions from various countries regarding the latest developments in investor services.

TDCC has maintained active involvement in various international exchange activities, serving as a member of the Executive Committee of the ACG and as the Convener of the Investor Services Task Force. TDCC’s commitment is to enhance the international visibility of Taiwan's capital market. TDCC continues to promote the vision of innovation, resilience, sustainability, and financial inclusion. On the international stage, TDCC share Taiwan's successful experiences, cultivating diverse and friendly international cooperative relationships, collectively working towards a more comprehensive Asia-Pacific financial ecosystem.
