2024/11/18
The seven elementary schools in Hualien, which have been long-standing sponsored by TDCC, hosted the "TDCC 35 ai Happiness" joint music concert at the Hualien County Taiwan Indigenous Cultural Center on November 15. The seven schools showcased a spectacular performance of singing, dancing, and diverse talents, impressing the audience.
In appreciation of the TDCC’s contributions to education in Hualien's rural areas, the seven schools, including Tai Chang Elementary School in Hualien, specially planned the concert to display the results of their regular training. The joint music concert featured performances from Tai Chang, Bei Chang, Zhong Hua, Ji An, Jian Ching, Xi Kou, and Fong Lin elementary schools. They took turns on stage, offering a rich and diverse lineup of acts that included instrumental music, tap dance, flamenco, and other stunning performances. The grand finale featured all the performers singing the MayDay’s popular song "Contentment", creating a passionate and moving scene, bringing the seven-school joint music concert to a perfect conclusion.
TDCC Chairman Bing-Huei Lin, along with several colleagues, attended the event to experience firsthand the enthusiasm and vitality of Hualien. Chairman Lin stated that without the arts, society would be incomplete, and the talents of children in rural areas should not be limited by insufficient resources. Therefore, TDCC provides diverse forms of assistance, expanding the learning opportunities and achievements of students at the grassroots level, allowing interested children to step into the world of music and be nurtured. As a result, the music teams from the seven schools have grown and flourished, realizing the goal of fair educational opportunities.
TDCC has implemented the concept of sustainable education, continuously fulfilling its ESG responsibilities. Over the past decade, it has invested resources in after-school tutoring, music, and sports in Hualien, helping grassroots schools develop and bridging the urban-rural gap. This has also provided Hualien students with diverse platforms to confidently express themselves, creating a broader future for them.
