Responding to the Asian Asset Management Center Policy, the Taiwan Depository and Clearing Corporation Held an International ESG Service Conference on April 15
2025/04/07
The Taiwan Depository and Clearing Corporation (TDCC) has actively responded to the Financial Supervisory Commission's Asian Asset Management Center policy, hosting the "2025 TDCC ESG Service Conference—Towards an Asian Asset Management Center" on April 15 at Le Méridien Taipei. In addition to inviting Mr. Amar Gill, Secretary General of the Asian Corporate Governance Association (ACGA), and Dr. Christine Chow, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN), to deliver keynote speeches, the conference also invites more than 20 representatives from foreign institutions to share practical experiences, covering topics such as corporate governance, shareholder voting, sustainable information disclosure, and green finance.
Dr. Bing-Huei Lin, Chairman of the TDCC, states that he is honored to present the company’s ESG services at this conference. The TDCC plays a critical role in Taiwan's sustainable finance, as evidenced by providing ESG ratings, proxy research reports, and the most recent sustainability performance services, hoping to continue innovating while meeting investors’ demand.
As a key service provider in Taiwan's capital market, the TDCC has worked tirelessly to expand its offerings. Since 2020, it set a global precedent by aggregating the ratings of key international ESG rating agencies on Taiwan's listed companies and offering free data accessibility, which has earned trust from the public, academics, and industries.
For listed companies, the TDCC is the only company in the world that provides proxy voting recommendation reports from the world's two major proxy advisory agencies, ISS and Glass Lewis, allowing companies to anticipate foreign institutions' views and gain support for shareholder meeting proposals. Also, for domestic institutional investors, they can use the "Sustainable Performance Service," which will be officially launched this year, to calculate the carbon footprint of their investment portfolios, allowing financial institutions to set and disclose carbon reduction targets.
Listed companies and institutional investors can register for free to attend this conference. For further information, please visit “https://irplatform.tdcc.com.tw” or search for "ESG IR Platform." The seats are limited and are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
