The ePassbook App User Accounts Exceed 6 Million! The Digital Services of App Continue to Upgrade
2025/05/13
In response to the development of FinTech, the Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC) is actively building a digitized book-entry environment and expanding the services of the ePassbook App. The app integrates information on securities, mutual funds, and bank deposits, and provides electronic notification functions for dividend distributions and ETF income distributions. As of May 7th this year, the number of activated user accounts has exceeded 6 million.
Daniel Chen, President of TDCC, stated that the ePassbook App's unique multi-asset integration service enables investors to access information on securities, mutual funds, deposits, and dividends all in one place, and has been highly recognized by investors. The ePassbook App will continue to expand digital service application scenarios and, in line with government policies, will incorporate information such as inquiries into the Taiwan Individual Savings Account (TISA) and sub-brokerage of foreign securities. Furthermore, in coordination with the promotion of Open Banking 3.0, the app will provide investors with interbank transfer and time deposit services across multiple banks. Additionally, a digital certificate feature is planned to be added to the app to offer investors innovative and diversified digital services.
To provide more convenient application channels, TDCC launched the eFastChannel Platform service last year, offering a one-stop platform to convert paper securities passbooks into the ePassbook App. Investors are encouraged to contact their securities firms promptly or apply for the ePassbook App through the eFastChannel Platform.
