Stay Informed on Every Share: eNotice Expands to Include Notifications of Rights Shares Issued through Cash Capital Increases

2026/07/24

The Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC) continues to promote the digital transformation of shareholder services with another upgrade to its eNotice platform. Following the launch of eNotice for dividend distribution and ETF income distribution notifications, TDCC has introduced a new eNotice service for notifications of rights shares issued through cash capital increases, effective July 24. This establishes a more comprehensive electronic notification framework for shareholder services. Under the new service, investors can receive timely notifications of rights shares issued through cash capital increases via email and the TDCC ePASSBOOK app, ensuring they never miss important shareholder information while enabling more timely and efficient investment management.

Since its launch in June 2023, eNotice has been helping issuing companies and ETF issuers replace traditional paper-based notifications with electronic delivery. In addition to significantly improving the efficiency of information dissemination, the platform supports global sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives by reducing paper consumption, printing, and mailing costs, while enhancing corporate operational efficiency and advancing ESG development. To date, more than 1,600 issuing companies and ETF issuers have adopted the eNotice service, demonstrating the market's strong recognition of digital shareholder services.

As investors increasingly embrace electronic means for receiving important information, the scale of eNotice adoption has continued to grow rapidly. In less than three years since its launch, nearly 1.8 million investors have opted in to receive eNotice, with cumulative deliveries surpassing 30 million notifications. These figures underscore eNotice's role as an indispensable digital tool for investors to stay informed of shareholder matters, while also contributing fresh momentum to the digital transformation and sustainable development of financial services.

Chen-Chen Huang, Senior Executive Vice President of TDCC, stated that the launch of eNotice for notifications of rights shares issued through cash capital increases marks another important milestone in the expansion of eNotice service. The platform now integrates three core shareholder notifications—dividend distribution, ETF income distribution, and rights share issued through cash capital increases—providing investors with more comprehensive and timely information services.

Huang also noted that investors who have already enrolled in eNotice are automatically eligible for the new service without the need to re-register, further enhancing the efficiency of managing their equity holdings. TDCC sincerely invites issuing companies that have not yet joined the eNotice service to participate in its digital shareholder services and encourages investors to enroll, allowing them to enjoy a new shareholder service experience featuring more timely notifications, easier portfolio management, and a more sustainable way to stay connected.
