The 23rd National Brand Yushan Award Ceremony was held on September 22. Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC) has been recognized with the National Brand Yushan Award for the fourth consecutive year. This year, TDCC received two major awards: the “Best Product Award” for the Taiwan Individual Savings Account (TISA) and the “Best Popular Brand Award” for the eCounter Platform. The awards recognize TDCC’s achievements in advancing inclusive finance, digital innovation, and sustainable development.

Chen-Chen Huang, Senior Executive Vice President of TDCC, stated that, in support of the government’s policies on asset management and inclusive finance, TDCC established the TISA mechanism within the existing Book-Entry Settlement System. Built around the principles of “dedicated account management, long-term investment, and an ultra-low entry threshold,” TISA encourages the public to make medium- to long-term investments through regular investment plans, helping investors gradually develop sound and disciplined financial management habits. To further enhance convenience for investors, TDCC also launched the “TISA Account Inquiry Platform,” providing cross-institutional account information services. Investors can easily access their TISA account information, transaction details, and fund holdings across different institutions. Relevant information is also available through the “TDCC ePassbook” App, enabling investors to view their securities and TISA investment information in one place for more convenient and real-time investment management.
In the digitalization of shareholder services, TDCC, under the guidance of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), launched the “eCounter Platform.” Following the amendment to the Electronic Signatures Act, the platform was the first to apply digital signature technologies. By leveraging digital identity verification and signature technologies, the platform enables investors to handle shareholder services online. Since its launch, the platform has rolled out desktop to mobile versions of its services, with 2,120 companies having signed up to use the platform and nearly 165,000 applications submitted online by investors. The platform’s recognition with the Best Popular Brand Award not only highlights the achievements of cross-government collaboration, but also demonstrates how technology can support sustainable governance. Through the use of electronic certificates and digital signatures, investors can complete shareholder services online, including opening accounts and updating basic information, creating a seamless, real-time, and free digital service experience.
The dual recognition of TISA and the eCounter Platform not only affirms TDCC’s achievements in digital innovation and green governance for sustainable development, but also highlights its efforts to advance inclusive finance. Looking ahead, TDCC will continue to put ESG principles into practice, leverage technology to empower its core businesses, reduce the carbon footprint of financial services, enhance service quality, and strengthen investor education. By working closely with market participants, TDCC will continue to advance the digital and sustainable transformation of Taiwan’s capital market.
