TDCC Chairman Bing-Huei Lin led delegations to participate in the ACG 26th Annual Meeting, strengthening cross-regional connectivity and collaboration

The 26th Asia-Pacific Central Securities Depository Group (ACG) Annual Meeting took place in Kazakhstan Almaty from September 9th to 12th this year. Led by TDCC Chairman Bing-Huei Lin, during the meeting, the TDCC group actively exchanged views with top executives and representatives of various depository institutions from multiple countries on the latest development trends in the depository industry, enhancing the visibility of Taiwan's capital market. Furthermore, TDCC was responsible for hosting the Investor Services Task Force (ISTF) group meeting, inviting several depositories from countries such as South Korea, Indonesia, Iran, and Kazakhstan to share their experiences, resulting in lively interaction. During the general assembly, TDCC reported the annual achievements of the ISTF, receiving unanimous recognition from member institutions.

The theme of the 26th annual general meeting was “Strengthening Financial Infrastructure Connectivity between the Asia-Pacific Region and the Central Asian Economic Belt”, bringing together over 200 executives and representatives from 40 institutions, including ACG member institutions, World Forum of CSDs (WFC), global custodian banks, and information technology related entities. Collectively, they focused on mainstream trends of international markets, and discuss how depository institutions can strengthen cross-regional connections and cooperation.

TDCC’s Senior Vice President Ms. Julie Wang was also invited to serve as a panelist in a panel discussion on "Digital transformation and improving the quality of services in the securities market". TDCC exchanged experiences on digital transformation and business innovation with representatives from the International Securities Services Association (ISSA), Clearstream, Thomas Murray, and the Indonesia Central Securities Depository (KSEI). She also shared TDCC’s FinTech strategies, digital innovation vision, AI application achievements, and future development direction, highlighting its outstanding performance in the field of financial innovation in recent years.

During the meeting, Bing-Huei Lin engaged in bilateral meetings and exchanges with the Chairman of ISSA, the Chairman of the European Central Securities Depositories Association (ECSDA), and depository leaders from Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, and other countries. These interactions was on current conditions of the international depository industry and trends in innovative digital business development. Bing-Huei Lin stated that, in the face of today's rapidly changing global financial environment, participating in international conferences and engaging in personnel exchanges effectively helps grasp the latest global trends and changes, and contributes to the macro development of the depository industry in the Asia-Pacific region.

TDCC, as one of the founding members of ACG, continues to serve as a member of the Executive Committee and as the Convener of the Investor Services Task Force, actively participating in the operations of the organization and continuously fostering friendly and diverse international relationships, laying a solid foundation for cross-border cooperation. Moving forward, TDCC will strive to showcase the strength and influence of Taiwan's capital market on the international stage and promote the development of a more robust financial ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region.
