The "First TDCC Cup Badminton Friendly Competition," organized by the Taiwan Depository and Clearing Corporation (TDCC), took place on October 25 and 26 at the Taitung County Badminton Stadium. Participants from five junior high and elementary schools in the Yilan, Hualien, and Taitung regions showcased their skills on the court, demonstrating the results of their practice while competing for individual and team honors. Beyond the competition, the young players also embodied the spirit of friendship through sport, allowing the audience to witness the bright future of badminton in Taiwan.

TDCC Chairman Bing-Huei Lin stated that badminton is an excellent sport for physical development in Taiwan and is a key event for medal hopes in the Olympics. Over the years, Taiwanese athletes have shone on the Olympic stage, bringing countless honors to the nation. At this year's Paris Olympics, Yang Lee and Chi-Lin Wang successfully defended their men's doubles gold medal, setting new records in Olympic men's doubles. Additionally, Tzu-Ying Tai has held the title of world women's singles champion for an unprecedented 214 weeks. Lin emphasized that behind each athlete's achievements lies the dedication and hard work of both the players and their coaching teams. He hopes that through TDCC's long-term support for grassroots badminton, athletes can focus on their training without worries, thereby promoting the sustainable development of the sport.

In this competition, Yi Chang Junior High School emerged as the champion of the junior high school team category, while the championship trophy for the elementary school team category was awarded to Da Wang Elementary School.

Upholding the spirit of "altruism for mutual benefit," TDCC has long been committed to public welfare and supports sports activities. Since 2016, it has donated to schools including Da Hu Elementary School and Yuan Shan Junior High School in Yilan County, Yi Chang Junior High School in Hualien County, and Da Wang and Lyu Dao Elementary Schools in Taitung County, helping to establish a solid foundation for grassroots badminton. Through this friendly competition, TDCC aims to enhance each athlete's competitive experience and boost their confidence, paving the way for the next generation of badminton stars who will bring glory to the nation.
