In support of the South Taichung CCF (Taiwan Fund for Children and Families) year-end festivities, the Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC) held a "Winter Warmth" event on December 6 at the Taichung Gulf Storybook House. TDCC Chairman Bing-Hui Lin led a team of employees to participate in the event. In addition to making a corporate donation to the CCF, the initiative focused on promoting "deep reading" and "joyful companionship," aiming to bring care and hope to more families.

Chairman Lin stated that reading serves as a bridge for companionship and understanding, which significantly fosters children's linguistic and vocabulary development. He emphasized that shared reading is the finest form of family interaction, as it builds deeper emotional bonds and serves as a vital foundation for learning and creativity. TDCC has long been committed to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) development, prioritizing support for the underprivileged and educational philanthropy. Through deep reading and hands-on workshops, the corporation hopes to help children broaden their horizons and cultivate their creative potential.

The event featured two main activities: an "Indigo Dyeing Experience" and "Storybook Guided Reading," creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere. During the indigo dyeing session, professional instructors guided the children through the meticulous process of multiple "immersion" and "oxidation" cycles. The finished works were hung to dry in the garden of the Gulf Storybook House; the blue fabrics fluttering in the breeze symbolized hanging "wind, light, and color" for the Gulf together. In the storybook session, instructors used lively storytelling to lead children into a world of imagination, helping them explore diverse emotions and understand interpersonal relationships through vivid imagery and sound.

TDCC continues to leverage its philanthropic influence, providing resources and volunteer services to support the development of local social welfare. By encouraging employees to engage with the community and take practical action, TDCC aims to sow seeds of kindness across Taiwan, bringing warmth and hope to more families.
