The Taiwan Individual Savings Account (TISA) is a long-term investment and savings program promoted by the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) to help the public cultivate disciplined investing habits. With the TISA platform approaching its first anniversary, TDCC launched the "TISA TOUR Nationwide Roadshow" under the theme "Compound Your Wealth, Enrich Your Life — Start Your New TISA Financial Journey with Just NT$1,000." Through practical insights from experts on retirement planning, global investment trends, asset allocation, and financial planning in later life, the series aims to promote long-term investment awareness and enhance the public's financial independence.

In his remarks, Deputy County Mayor Wang noted that TISA gives the public a new avenue for long-term investing and enables more people to share in the fruits of economic growth. He added that Taitung's "slow economy" has thrived in recent years, with notable growth in both local businesses and household savings, and expressed hope that TISA — supported by the government, financial institutions, and private sector partners, and featuring expert-selected, high-quality funds — will help residents build sound, lasting financial habits.

The Taitung session featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including Fubon Asset Management Chairman Huang Chao-Tang, CTBC Investments Head of Investment Department I Chang Sheng-Yuan, renowned personal finance expert Hsia Yun-Fen, and USTV financial news anchor Teng Kai-Ming. Speaking on "Building Financial Habits Through TISA — So Your Future Self Will Thank You," Huang observed that Taiwan has officially become a super-aged society, making it essential to learn to fund retirement through accumulated assets. Chang focused on global technology trends, analyzing how investors can position long-term portfolios across Taiwan equities, global equities, and high-dividend assets amid the AI boom. Teng explored how investors can keep assets at the core of their strategy and steer clear of pitfalls in wealth succession as inflation erodes purchasing power. Hsia reminded the audience that rising longevity is an irreversible trend, urging people to leverage government pensions, employer contributions, and personal investments to build three pillars of retirement savings against longevity and long-term care risks — ultimately turning the power of compounding into long-term financial well-being.
