Implementing the FSC's "Trust-Based Finance" Vision: TDCC ePassbook App Surpasses 8 Million Users!

2026/08/11

The Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation (TDCC) continues to promote digital financial services. The TDCC ePassbook App integrates diverse asset information, including securities, funds, and bank deposits, becoming a comprehensive personal financial management assistant for investors. With the continuous expansion of its service functions, the App recently surpassed the 8-million-user milestone, demonstrating the strong momentum of digital financial services deeply embedding into the public’s daily financial management.

Mr. Daniel Chen, President of TDCC, stated that to implement the Financial Supervisory Commission's (FSC) vision of "Trust-based Finance," TDCC will take the milestone of 8 million users as a new starting point. It will continuously expand the scope of asset integration and, by integrating resources across markets and institutions, provide more convenient, secure, and user-centric digital financial services. This will allow investors to manage their personal asset information more comprehensively and in real time, further enhancing the accessibility of and trust in financial services.

In support of the FSC's Open Securities 2.0 policy, the TDCC ePassbook App recently launched two new digital services. First, TDCC partnered with the Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) to add the "Futures Data Inquiry" service. After investors grant authorization via TAIFEX's "Trading Information Searching System for Futures Market," they can conveniently access their futures account information—including account opening details, position balances, and transaction records—directly within the TDCC ePassbook App.

In addition, TDCC has collaborated with eight major securities firms to launch the "Online Financial Documents Transmission Service." When investors apply for services such as adjusting trading limits or opening margin accounts, they can apply online to transmit their asset holdings and transaction records from their other securities accounts to the securities firm handling their application, promoting a secure and highly efficient service application process.

Both services officially went live on July 8 this year. By the end of July, the two services had jointly accumulated over 220,000 data transmission requests, indicating investors' eager demand for cross-institutional data integration and digitalized services. This also symbolizes a further step forward for open finance application scenarios in Taiwan. Looking ahead, TDCC will continue focusing on investor needs as its core, deepening the application of FinTech, and striving to build a safer, more convenient, and more trustworthy digital financial service environment.
